GREENSBORO Larry Lionel LeBlanc, 87, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 and is now with the Lord. He was born on March 28, 1930 in Salem, Massachusetts. At 18, he went to serve the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the U. S. S. Helena until 1952. He then attended Marquette University, where he graduated with a bachelor's of science in electrical engineering, and it was in Milwaukee where he met his best friend, Kay, whom he married on December 28, 1957. After graduating, he worked for Western Electric (AT&T/Lucent) for which he took on assignments that transferred him and his family to different places within the United States and the Marshall Islands. Larry retired in Greensboro after 28 years of service with AT&T. He then took up his passion of travel with his wife and visited different countries around the world. He also continued to perfect his golf game, enjoyed his winters in Florida, and spent more time with his family and grandchildren at Sunset Beach, NC. Larry dedicated his life to the Lord and attended Saint Paul's Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Rena LeBlanc, and two sisters, Jeanette Marcaurelle and Rita LeBlanc. He is survived by his wife, Kay LeBlanc; children, Michael (Kim) of Raleigh, Jayne Helms (Mark) of Stokesdale, and David (Lisa) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Taylor, Blake, Benjamin and Andrew, and several extended family members. There will be a family service per Larry's request. Services entrusted to Triad Cremation Society & Chapel.
