Mrs. Mae Craddock, 82, passed peacefully at her home, Friday, July 22, 2022. She was born September 17, 1939, in Greensboro, to the late David Lanning and Madelene Ridenhour Gordon. She attended Pleasant Garden Baptist Church for many years. Mae was ever so graceful, patient, caring and kind, a beautiful person inside and out. She was loved by all that knew her and will be dearly missed. She cherished time spent with her family and gathered with them at the dinner table on a weekly basis. Mrs. Craddock was known as Maw-maw to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she so loved caring for. Secondary to her family, Mae enjoyed card games with friends, and quiet mornings in her kitchen with a long cup of coffee and the daily lineup of game shows on TV. Mae is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Billy "Crash" Craddock; two sons Billy Craddock (late wife Toni), Steve Craddock (Terry), daughter April Webb (Todd); six grandchildren: Jamie Sult (Zack), Lindsay Saintsing (Daniel), Brian Webb (Lindsay), Brianna Stafford (Garrison), Adam Craddock, and Rachel Craddock; 3 great-grandchildren, Grayson Sult, Peyton Sult, Taylor Mae Sult, and another great-grandson due in December; as well as her brother Brian "Buddy" Lanning (Natsume) along with many other dear friends and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by beloved daughter-in-law Toni Craddock, sisters Kathy Smith and Barbara Durante, and brother Richard Lanning. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 26, from 12 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., with burial and graveside service immediately after. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations made to Authoracare Hospice Services of Greensboro.
