GREENSBORO Mr. Mark O. Purvis, 46, of Greensboro, passed away July 26, 2016, at High Point Regional Hospital.A memorial service will be held 11:00am Saturday at New Testament Baptist Church.Mark was born August 22, 1969, in Greensboro. He attended New Testament Baptist Church and was a master handyman who owned and operated Purvis Home Improvement for more than 30 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean Purvis. Mark was a big hearted man not only to his family but to everyone he met. He was the rock of his family and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.Mark is survived by his longtime partner in life, Dawn Fisher; his father, Charles Purvis; his siblings, Connie Jones, Charles Purvis (Kim), and Richard Purvis (Lori); and his beloved puppy dog Deuce.The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and from 4-6:00pm Saturday at 429-A North Cedar Street following the service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Testament Baptist Church, 1404 West Vandalia Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
