Mildred Joyce-Barrett Obituary

Mildred Faye Joyce-Barrett, 91, passed away at Spring Arbor Senior Living in Greensboro on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

A Rockingham County native, Faye was born on June 24, 1934 to the late Robert T. and Alma Nunn Joyce. Faye worked for the Greensboro City School System for 35 years as a Secretary/Tech Assistant. She loved her job and her co-workers.

She loved to dance and the NC Tar Heels. She participated in most all the activities at the Madison-Mayodan Recreation Center and was there most days during the week and always ready for their many trips wherever they might be. She also participated in Senior Games and won many awards. Faye was a member of Mt. Hermon Methodist Church and the choir.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. in the Ray Chapel at Terry Funeral and Cremation Service on Sunday, September 28, 2025, with Reverend Randy Jessup and Reverend David Singletary officiating. Visitation will be 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Mayodan Municipal Cemetery.
