Nancy Jean Presnell Ralls

GREENSBORO Nancy Jean Presnell Ralls passed away on November 2, 2016 at the age of 88. A visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Forbis and Dick Guilford College Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Christ United Methodist Church, 410 North Holden Road, Greensboro, North Carolina.Jean was born in Greensboro on August 4, 1928 to the late John Garland Presnell and Harriette Pringle Presnell. She was a graduate of Guilford School and Guilford College with a major in physical education. Jean was inducted into the Guilford College Athletic Hall of Fame and was an avid supporter of Guilford College. She loved traveling with her "golden girls" and enjoyed spending time in the mountains with friends and family. Jean cherished her family, most of all her children, grandchildren and her four great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Marion Lee "Lefty" Ralls, her sister, Barbara Presnell and her brother James Marshall Presnell.She is survived by her loving children, sons John Ralls (Lynn Stafford Ralls) of High Point, Charles Ralls and Steven Ralls, both of Greensboro, and daughters Louanne Ralls Ledbetter (Dan) of Greensboro and Nancy Ralls Hayden (Tom) of Wyckoff, New Jersey; grandchildren Emily Ledbetter and Dana Ledbetter Lowder (Jake) of Greensboro, Ellen Ledbetter of Raleigh, Brett Ralls (Kristen Ferrell Ralls) of Wallburg, Katie Ralls Trice (John) of Jamestown, Tom Hayden IV of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Meredith Hayden of Wyckoff, NJ and great-grandchildren Jackson, Carson, Dillon and Thomas.
