Noel Jones Obituary

STOKESDALE MR. NOEL PAIGE JONES, 84, passed away on July 11, 2014.A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014, at the Stokesdale Christian Church Cemetery.A Guilford County native, Mr. Jones was born on October 25, 1929, the son of the late Buford and Elvie Lemons Jones. He was a member of Stokesdale Christian Church, retired from Western Electric and a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps. On August 22, 1953, he married Mary Smith.Surviving are his wife of sixty one years, Mary S. Jones of the home, daughters Pam Chambers and her husband O.D. of Greensboro and Brenda Burns and her husband Ted of Stokesdale; son Noel Fleming Jones and his wife Marcy of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren Emma and Andrew Jones, and sister Mattie Browning of Stokesdale. The family will greet friends following the committal service in the church fellowship hall.Memorials may be directed to Stokesdale Christian Church, 8607 Stokesdale Street, Stokesdale, NC 27357.Forbis & Dick Brooke Chapel is serving the Jones family and on-line condolences may be offered at www.forbisanddick.com.
