Mrs. Rebecca Ann McDade, 78, of Greensboro, died Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Beacon Place.
Mrs. McDade was born January 8, 1944, to Luther and Annice (Simmons) Slate. She loved the beach and beach music, enjoying the flowers the she planted and spending precious moments with her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDade was preceded in death by two siblings, Steve Slate and Elva Kennedy. She is survived by her loving children, John McDade (Melinda), Dewey "Trip" McDade, and Todd McDade; and four grandchildren, Austin, Kendall, Sydney, and Graham; three siblings, Luther "Junior" Slate (Diane), Rachel Webster, and Louise Coble.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2022, at Pierce- Jefferson Funeral Service, Lambeth Chapel, 300 West Wendover Ave. in Greensboro, NC 27408, with Rev. Kristen Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Beacon Place Hospice or Camp Joy.

Becky was my sweet friend since High School. I will always remember our young married days & the many memories shared as we raised our children & the Carriage Hills days. My last memories of Becky were when we reconnected at the beach & talked of many past wonderful memories. A dear friend & sweet soul!
