Rebecca Bryant Wylie, 97, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, in Greensboro, NC.
Born on May 7, 1928, Rebecca dedicated much of her life to a distinguished career at Cone Mills Corporation in Greensboro. She rose through the ranks to serve as Executive Assistant to Dewey Trogden, the Chief Executive Officer of Cone. Her professional excellence extended beyond the workplace as she also served as President of the National Secretaries Association.
Rebecca was known for her kindness and concern for others, her insatiable curiosity, and her keen intelligence. A lifelong lover of music in all its forms, she found joy in melodies and rhythms that reflected her vibrant spirit. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and embraced any activity that brought them together.
She was a devoted member of Eller Memorial Baptist Church, where her faith and community were central to her life.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Calvin, in 2005; and her son, Phil, in 2006. She is lovingly remembered by her son, James and his wife, Janet; daughter-in-law, Kellie; grandchildren, Ashley of Winston-Salem/London, Corey of Greensboro, James of Plymouth, MA, and John of Jacksonville, FL. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews in the extended Bryant and Wylie families. Also many friends she developed over her long life in Greensboro.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Eller Memorial Baptist Church in Greensboro. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the service at 1:30 p.m.
May Rebecca's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Dewey Trogdon assigned Becky to work with me in the mid to late `80´s. In addition to the descriptions of accomplished Secretary and Administrative Asst., I personally knew her as:
- A Trusted adviser;
- An Outstanding judge of character;
- A Lady of Unquestionable loyalty and integrity;
- and a person who knew things about human nature, pride and humility.
Becky was a very special person!
