Robert Aydelette Obituary

Aydelette, Robert Sills

January 27, 1959 - June 24, 2022

Robert Sills Aydelette, lifelong resident of Greensboro, lost his fight against a horribly aggressive cancer on June 24. He was taken from us much too soon.

"Bob" was the youngest of four children born to Tom (James H. Sr.) and Emily (Sills) Aydelette of Greensboro. An award-winning golfer from age 13, Bob graced the Ragsdale High School team and graduated on a full golf scholarship from High Point University. It was there he met the love of his life, Carrie Susan Brown, marrying on September 25, 1982.

As his career, Bob worked together with his brother Jamie running Associated Agents, a company that was founded by their father. Under their guidance the business flourished for over 40 years. Bob was always a beloved doting husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and mentor. His charming quick wit and caring attention to detail made everyone need and want him in their lives. Bob had a contagious smile, unforgettable laugh, enthusiastic personality, and he always had an open heart. He will forever be an inspiration.

Bob will live on through his wife Susan Aydelette, son Robert "Rob" S. Aydelette Jr. (Jasmine), daughter Lauren Ward (Andrew), and grandson Weston. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Jamie. Among those who lovingly mourn his loss, are his sister Lea Schwartz (Robert) of San Antonio, brother Jeff Aydelette (Flora) of Oriental, brother-in-law Greg Brown (Cindy) of Indiana, sister-in-law Janis Aydelette of Atlanta, nephews; Zack Aydelette, Matthew Brown, and Trey Aydelette, nieces; Jessica Graber (Abe), Katie Aydelette, Jenny Brown, and Megan Brown, along with extended family, and innumerable friends.

There will be an intimate tribute for Bob and his courageous life at a private ceremony on a later date.

In lieu, the family asks to consider making a blood donation to a local blood bank to help others requiring transfusions.

His energy will live on.

He will forever be loved.
