GREENSBORO Mrs. Rosa Chambers Price went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 13, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel, 1900 Vanstory St., Greensboro, NC 27403, with Rev. Bob Voorhees officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Rd. in Greensboro. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Price was born August 27, 1920, in Person County, NC to the late Jessie and Mary Chambers and was a member of Westover Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Davis Price; her daughter, Rosa Lee Beasley; three brothers, James, William, and Jessie, Jr.; and two sisters, Lillie Holt and Venia Bowling. She is survived by her son, William D. Price, Jr. and his wife Kay of Danville, VA; sisters, Pauline Wells and Zella Parker (Al) of Elon College, NC and a brother, Romie Chambers of Pfafftown, NC; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Westover Presbyterian Church Mission Fund, 505 Muirs Chapel Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410.
