Sue Ferguson Obituary
Sue Walsh Ferguson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on Monday June 23, 2025 in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was 82 years old.
Sue was born on April 6, 1943 in Moravian Falls, North Carolina to the William and Beulah Walsh. From an early age, she displayed a deep sense of compassion and a quiet strength that carried her throughout her life.
She was the wife of Larry Ferguson; they were married for 63 years and shared a long life together surrounded by family.
Sue was the proud mother of two daughters, Kimberly Ferguson Ennis and Michelle Ferguson (Cullen Leach) and the cherished grandmother of Cassidy Ennis, Samuel Ennis, Madison Widenhouse and Emma Widenhouse. Her family was her greatest joy and her love for them was unwavering.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and lifelong devotion to those she held dear. Sue's legacy is one of grace, humility, and quiet strength, a life that deeply touched those around her.
She found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Sue loved gardening, spending time at the beach, and was a former member of the Woodland Hills Garden Club. One of her greatest joys was traveling the world with her best friend, Irene, sharing unforgettable experiences and a lifetime of laughter.
She also deeply cherished her many dear friends, whose lives were enriched by her warmth, kindness, and presence.
The funeral service to celebrate Sue's life will be held on Thursday June 26 at 12 p.m. at Forbis and Dick, N. Elm Chapel, 1118 N. Elm Street Greensboro NC. A visitation will be held from 11 to 11:50 a.m. at Forbis and Dick, N. Elm location. Her burial will take place at Moravian Falls Community Cemetery.

Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
