Suzanne Colbert Goodell

June 3, 1953 - November 1, 2024

Suzanne Goodell passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family in Greensboro, NC, after her cancer journey.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jim Goodell; children, Dave Goodell (Sara Dudnik), Laura (Ryan) Meader, and Steve Goodell; as well as her brothers, Tom (Connie) Colbert, Dave Colbert (Mette Petersen); nieces and nephews and the light of her life, granddaughters, Adeline, Isabelle and Eleanor Meader.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Jean Colbert.

Suzanne's career was in Health Information Management and nonprofit administration in several locations, ending in Greensboro, NC, at Cone Health. She excelled in her field and in mentoring others. She was known for her smile, outgoing personality, positive approach and zest for life.

Suzanne's passions were her children and grandchildren, social justice, giving women a better opportunity for success, and many creative endeavors.

Suzanne's final wishes were to thank those who had been so kind to her and her family throughout her journey. She also wanted everyone to go out and do something kind for someone else.

Jim and Family, I am saddened to learn of Suzanne's passing, but she suffers no longer. Her friendly, upbeat demeanor will always stay with me.
