Todd Vaughn Obituary

Todd Wilson Vaughn

April 12, 1959 - July 18, 2025

MADISON – Todd Wilson Vaughn, 66, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 18, 2025 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home, and all other times at the residence.

A life-long resident of Rockingham County, Todd was born April 12, 1959, to the late Talmadge Franklin Vaughn, Jr. and Nettie Jean Wilson Vaughn. He was a 1977 graduate of Madison-Mayodan High School. He was a long-time faithful member of Sardis Primitive Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He followed in his father's footsteps and was an owner and operator of Vaughn Motors in Madison, N.C.

He was an avid racer, golfer, and fan of all sports and NASCAR. He loved cars and from driving to fixing them, he knew them inside and out. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Todd was an active and productive part of his business that he ran with his daughter. He was proud of his family and most importantly, of his kids Lauren and Nick. He loved the Lord, the church, and his faith. He was a wonderful son, father, brother, and husband.

He enjoyed driving his red Corvette Stingray and his father's red 1964 Ford Mustang. He was so proud of the Mustang that he and Talmadge spent thirteen years restoring together.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Vaughn and brother-in-law, Richard Boyer.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Lisa Albert-Vaughn; son, Nicholas Vaughn; daughter, Lauren Vaughn (fiancé, Will); sister, Vicki Vaughn Boyer; sister-in-law, Kelly Vaughn; special nephew, Brad Gulla; step-children, Brandy Barrett and Rusty Albert; step-grandchildren, Jayla, Kayden, and Levi; and step-great-grandson, Kingston.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Brian Everette, 1245 NC Hwy 704, Madison, N.C. 27025.
