VIRGINIA BLANCHE GREESON RING GIBSONVILLE Virginia Blanche Greeson Ring, 84, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18th from 6 until 8 p.m. at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel. An 11 a.m. funeral service will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Bethel Presbyterian Church in McLeansville, NC. Interment will follow immediately afterwards in the church cemetery. A reception for family and friends will follow the interment in the church Fellowship Hall. Blanche was born in Guilford County on July 9, 1929 to the late Flavious McCoy Greeson and Eliza Jane Brown Greeson. She was a graduate of McLeansville School. As a lifetime member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, she was a recipient of The Presbyterian Women's Honorary Life Member Award. She lovingly maintained the family household during her husband's world travels while on military duty for 27 years. She also enjoyed a career at Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, retiring after 22 years of dedicated service. Blanche was an excellent seamstress and loved to do needlepoint. She was known for her keen sense of fashion and elegant style. Her chocolate pies were legendary. She was very proud of her children's and grandchildren's many achievements. Most of all Blanche will be remembered for being a kind, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Brown Greeson Sowers of Gibsonville. She is survived by her husband, Curtis Jay Ring. Also surviving are daughters Deborah Blanche Ring Lillegard and husband, James Robert Lillegard of Lehigh Valley, PA; and Pamela Sue Ring of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by a brother, Coy Waldo Greeson of Gibsonville, NC. Additionally, she is survived by grandchildren Christina Lillegard Keslick and husband, Brian Scott Keslick of West Chester, PA; Eric James Lillegard of Boston, MA; Stephanie Marie Lillegard of Lehigh Valley, PA; Tiffany Nicole Lillegard of Philadelphia, PA; and "Belle of Ringwood Acres", her beloved Boxer grand-dog. In addition, she is survived by great-grandchildren Makayla Kennedy Keslick and Jackson Robert Keslick of West Chester, PA. Other survivors include grand-Godchildren Shelby Caroline Roberts and Callie Lusine Roberts of Summerfield, NC. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Bradley Sherrill, Oncologist, and his staff for the care shown to Blanche as she gracefully battled multiple myeloma for 10 years. They also wish to thank the wonderful staff at Cone Health Regional Cancer Center for all their kindness and care over the years.
