SUMMERFIELD Mr. Wesley A. Case, 74, passed away on Saturday morning, January 28, 2017, at Beacon Place Hospice. Mr. Case's funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, at First Baptist Church of Summerfield with Dr. Richard Odom and Rev. Roger Barricks, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the church. A Guilford County native, Mr. Case was born on March 12, 1942, the son of the late Zeb and Ima Strader Case. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was retired from Elrod Electrical where he worked as an estimator and project manager. He also served as an MP in the Army National Guard. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing, or gardening. He loved traveling with his family and bringing a smile or chuckle to those around him. On June 25, 1966, he married Polly Childress. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Polly C. Case of the home; daughter Amy Allen and her husband, Jay of Reidsville and son Brian Case of Elizabeth City; grandchildren Ross Allen and Nicole Allen; sisters Mary Russell and Alma Lea Wilson, both of Kernersville; brother Ronald Case and his wife, Margaret of Summerfield; and lifelong fishing buddies John Robinson and Walt Link. He was preceded in death by brothers Zeb Case, Jr. and J. C. Case.
