From the rising of the sun June 8, 1936 to the going down of the same on November 19, 2022, he has entered into the Lord and his name is to be praised. Willie James was a loving husband, father, uncle, and the title he held highest and was most proud of was grandfather. Preceding him in death was his daughter Rosetta & his son Jeffry Carter.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife Hattie Rose Carter, daughters Jeanette Cooley (Ronald), Brenda Smith (Donald), sons Michael Chapman, Walter Chapman (Brenda) and Leroy Carter (Mia), all of Greensboro, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
