Greenville
Alma Gambrell Malone, 78, of Greenville, wife of Joe Malone, died Saturday, April 16, 2016.
Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Zora Atkin Gambrell.
Alma was a member of Berea First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Dana Malone of Nashville, TN, and Denise Mullis (Gerald) of Cumming, GA; one sister, Ellen G. Wells of Greenwood; one brother, George Gambrell (Inez) of Honea Path; two granddaughters, Rebecca and Courtney Mullis; two sisters-in-law, Clara Gambrell and Bobbie Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alma was preceded in death by two sisters, Margie and Bell Gambrell; and three brothers, Herbert, Ernest and Rev. Ansel Gambrell.
The visitation will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Thursday, April 21, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Berea First Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church.
Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Berea First Baptist Church.

Alma was a beautiful lady - both physically and spiritually. Alma's light was always shining! With a smile and gentle spirit she spread the love of Christ. She will be greatly missed by all of us who knew her.
