Barry Watkins Obituary
Gray Court - Barry Walker Watkins, 74, husband of Jane Armstrong Watkins for 45 years, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 3, 2020.
Mr. Watkins was born in Ware Shoals to the late Lowell Walker Watkins and Rosa Kathryne Elledge Watkins. He was a member of Green Pond United Methodist Church and served as a Deacon at two other churches. Barry was an avid reader, a Clemson fan and enjoyed spending time on the farm and being close to nature.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Jody Watkins (Tisha) of Woodstock, Ga., Jonathan Watkins (JoDee) of Gray Court and Jeffrey Watkins of Gray Court; a sister, Kathy Hettinger (Dwight); six grandchildren, Elijah McCain (Tess) of Atlanta, Ga., Anne Dee Watkins, Chesney Watkins and SaDee Watkins of Gray Court and Rylan Watkins and Reagan Watkins of Woodstock, Ga. and many past and present pet. He was predeceased by a sister, Pam Powell.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-2pm Monday at Hope Church.
Funeral Services will be 2pm Monday at Hope Church in Simpsonville. Burial will follow at Green Pond United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Given Wings (Exist to give a safe haven to the intellectually disabled and hope to the less fortunate so they can fulfill their life purpose), 3368 Greenpond Road, Gray Court, SC 29645.

What a surprise to us. Did not know your dad well but I feel your loss. Joy and I will be praying for your family as you grieve your dad's passing. I know it will leave a hollow place in your heart. Good to know he is with the Lord.
