Bobbie Parsons Obituary
Greenville - Bobbie Ledford Lowe Parsons passed away on December. 23, 2020 at home. She was born on May 9, 1936 in Gastonia, NC to the late Doyt and Bonnie Hildebrand Ledford and was wife of the late James Parsons. She graduated from Wingate Junior College.
Bobbie spent many years as a homemaker and loving mother. She loved dancing and hosting parties. Bobbie was one of the Founding member of the Poinsett Women's Club, member of the Greenville Junior Women's Club,
Greenville Garden club, Nathaniel Green DAR, Greenville Wine Society, and volunteered with various nonprofits. She also modeled for department stores and on TV.
She was an avid Bridge player for over 50 years. Playing with many friends including the Hotsy Totsys. She was such a great card player that some referred to her as the "Card-iologist."
She enjoyed traveling with her husband Jim around the world and leading many cruise groups to exotic and faraway places.
She is survived by two brothers Doyt Ledford (Rosemary), Michael Ledford(Pat) and a late sister Pattie Lewis(Robert); four daughters Elisa Cooley, Cynthia Stamps (Sam),Jette Robertson(Jim) and Patti Fields (David) and two stepsons Mark (Valerie)and Eric Parsons; Eleven grandchildren Steven Head, Jr., Maxwell Cooley, Madeline Cooley Baer (Tyler), Ashley Fortenberry(Chris), BJ Baldwin (Justin), Mallory Sinclair (Ben), Bonnie Gerlaugh, Haley and Phoebe Robertson, Olivia Fields and Ashlie Parsons along with 7 great grandchildren. She is a member of Mauldin United Methodist Church.
The family wants to thank Interim Hospice and especially Nurse Debbie.
A private service will be held in Gastonia in January 2021
