Brian Vance French

Travelers Rest

Brian Vance French, 53, of 89 North Ridge Drive, died Friday, June 24, 2011 at his residence. He was the beloved husband to Patricia (Mohn) French for 19 years.

Born in Peoria, IL, on February 12, 1958, he was the son of Jack and Betty French.

Mr. French was an iron worker.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are children, Rachel French, Jason French, Alicia French, Robert Warden and James French; grandchildren, Salem, Hannah and Gabriel French; siblings, Leslie Hopkins, Jay French and Diane Kovach; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Elijah French.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel.

The family will be at the residence.

Dear Patti and French family,

I was deeply saddened by the death of Brian. This must be very difficult for you. You are in my thoughts and my prayers. Brian was such a kind person, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Brian has passed on to a better place now. You can take comfort and strength from the wonderful family you and he had together. I know their love will get you through this sad time.
