Charles Gentry Obituary

Charles Gentry, Jr.

Taylors - Charles T. Gentry, Jr., 86, of Taylors entered into Heaven on Saturday, February 24, 2018. He was the son of the late Charlie T. and Loretta Gentry.

Survivors include his three daughters: Julie Gentry, Lynn Marquis (Butch), and Theresa Franklin (David), Grandchildren: Jesse Marquis, Brandy Dartnell, Meredith Gentry, Leslie Hoffman, Brad McElrath, and Ashley Gentry, Great - Grandchildren: James Tyler Dartnell, Brandon and Hudson Marquis, Yaunder McElrath and Blythe Hoffman, Three Step-Grandchildren: Hailey, Taylor, and Riley Dartnell.

Charles was predeceased by his wife, Mary Medlock Gentry, and son Charles T. Gentry III.

Charles was a retired letter carrier with the US Postal Service. He contributed his time to Disaster Relief and several local and foreign Mission related activities and trips.

A funeral service will be held 2:00PM on Saturday March 3rd at Taylors First Baptist Church, Main Street Taylors, SC. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice House, 260 Fairwinds Road, Landrum, SC 29356 or Taylors Free Medical Clinic, 400 W. Main Street, Taylors, SC 29687.
