Genevieve Cloninger Obituary
Mrs. Cloninger was born March 14, 1910 in Tryon, Ga. to the late Oscar and Alice Hurt Dillard. She retired from Burlington Industries, and was a member of Simpsonville First Baptist Church. She voluntarily knitted sweaters for soldiers during World War II, and for many years knitted baby blankets for members of Simpsonville First Baptist Church upon the birth of their child.
Surviving are a daughter, Becky Proctor and her husband, Gene, of Simpsonville; two sisters, Ollie Mae Jamison and Lucille Sills; and a granddaughter, Cyndy Proctor of Greenville.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Randy Harling. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Graceland East Cemetery.
