Jack Cole Obituary

The Rev. Lonnie Jack Cole, 69, of 1321 Cobbs Glen Drive, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at Anderson Area Medical Center.

Born in Anderson, he graduated from Anderson College, Central Wesleyan College and Dan Geer Bible Institute. He was a retired Baptist minister, and served as pastor of West Whitner Baptist Church, the Couchton Baptist Church and Solid Rock Baptist Church in Aiken. He was a member of Eureka Baptist Church and was the teacher of the Older Couples Sunday School Class.

Surviving are his wife, Hester King Cole, of the home; a daughter, Jayne C. Powell, of Aiken; a son, Roger D. Cole, of Greenville; two brothers, S. Rudolph Cole, of Anderson, and Dan C. Cole, of Anderson; and three grandchildren.

He was the son of the late Silas R. and Bertie Branyon Cole.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Eureka Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Robert Dickard and the Rev. Ronnie Powell. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The body is at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, 3205 North Highway 81, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight.

The family is at the home: 1321 Cobbs Glen Drive. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
