James Franklin "Frank" Hinson

Greenville

James Franklin "Frank" Hinson, 83, of Greenville, widower of Ella Julia "Judy" Deese Hinson, died Thursday, December 27, 2012, at the home of his daughter.

Born in Concord, NC, he was a son of the late Samuel Archie and Roma Kathleen Shoe Hinson. Mr. Hinson served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a contract carpet installer with Belk-Simpson. Frank was of the Baptist faith and was a sports enthusiast.

Surviving are his two children, James Gregory "Greg" Hinson (Tina) of Simpsonville and Kathy Barton (Barry) of Pelzer; grandchildren, James Robert Gambrell, James Gregory Hinson, Jr. "LG" (Crystal Brown), and Leah Michelle Hinson (Michael McCall); great-grandchildren, Makenzie Nicole Densmore and Khloe Fate McCall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Ave., Greenville, SC 29605.
