How often can one be close enough to an uncle and have so manny enjoyable memories. I worked, played, and Jan and I sang along with John, while we and Sandy laughed at his humor. I'll always remember him sitting sitting at Fred and Colleens (my parents) table, drinking coffee or other, and all seemed well. One of our finer accomplishments was when John and I as team, planted 12 trees and built a wooden fence, 12 boards and 4 posts, around each tree in less time than they could build the entire Big Bear shopping plasa.
He was a favorite!

Grandpa John may you rest in peace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ-
You touched our lives in so many ways! Jordan and Bryce enjoyed many wonderful conversations with you over the past year and I as well. We had so many memorable times together as a family and we will always hold those blessed memories of you very close to our hearts- You stood by your beloved wife, and especially when she was sick you remained right by her side making her as comfortable as possible. You loved your family and especially those dogs! Your laugh and sense of humor was contagious- We will miss you deeply for now, but will meet again one day up in the peaceful heavens! We love you Grandpa John-
