Joshua Dorchak Obituary

While sailing on Lake Jocassee with his father, Joshua X. Dorchak, the son of James O. and Lori A. Dorchak of 24 Peachtree Lane, drowned during a boating accident.

Surviving Joshua are his parents and four siblings, Emily, James E., Samuel and Andrew Dorchak. In addition, Joshua was the grandson of Dr. Joseph R. Dorchak, the nephew of Robert and Marjo (Dorchak) Gazak, Ronnie and Julie (Dorchak) Stephenson, Joseph J. and Sharin Dorchak, Jeffery and Jennifer (Dorchak) Hardee, and Hill (Dorchak) Strickler.

In lieu of flowers, gifts and remembrance, donations may be made to the Joshua Dorchak Memorial Fund, c/o Greer State Bank, P.O. Box 1029, Greer, SC 29652-1029, attention: Vic Grout, where a charitable fund, with the help of Firehouse Subs, has been set up to provide meals for search and rescue teams looking for small children.

The family will be receiving friends at the home on Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. The Mass of the Angels will be celebrated on Friday, June 22, 2007, at 7 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1209 Brushy Creek Road, Taylors, with a reception to follow at the church.
