Joyce Mayfield Obituary

Joyce Ann Robinson Mayfield, 61, wife of Bill Mayfield, of 115 Ponderosa Drive, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008.

Mrs. Mayfield was born September 18, 1946 in Gastonia, N.C. to Betty Shrum Robinson and the late David A. Robinson. She was a member of Simpsonville First Free Will Baptist Church. She was truly a servant-leader and was very active and supportive of the children's ministry.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Allen Robinson and his wife Adina; three daughters, Kim Barron, Teresa Mayfield, and Kimberly Feinberg and her husband Ross; eight grandchildren, Casey Hamrick, Lindsey Relitz, Alexandra Robinson, Lacey Barron, Caroline Feinberg, Zachary "Rocky" Feinberg, David Robinson and Addie Robinson; and a great-granddaughter, Zoe Relitz. She was predeceased by a sister, Janet Robinson.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Simpsonville First Free Will Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Chris Jackson. Burial will be in Cannon Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Simpsonville First Free Will Baptist Church, Children's Ministry, 108 Ponderosa Drive, Simpsonville, SC 29681, or to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
