Juanita Wynn Obituary

Juanita B. Wynn, 86, formerly of North Charleston, S.C., widow of Charles Carl Wynn, passed away on April 1, 2005, at Brighton Gardens Nursing Home.

Born in Brooklet, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Maggie Lee Brunson. She was a graduate of Georgia State Teachers College and lived her adult life in North Charleston, where she taught elementary school for many years, mainly at Park Circle Elementary School. She was an active member of Cooper River Baptist Church until she moved to an assisted living home in Greenville in 2001.

Surviving are her children, Jerry Wynn and his wife, Barbara, Ron Wynn and his wife, Carole, and Nancy Wynn; her six grandchildren, Rick Wynn and his wife, Ann, Philip Wynn and his wife, Nicole, Kimberly Locke and her husband, Michael, Lisa Pool and her husband, Thomas, Geoffrey Coates-Wynn and Matt Sheehan; and great-grandchildren Hayley, Brandon, Rachel, Meredith, Jonathan, Kelly and Thomas.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 4, 2005, at 3 p.m. at Cooper River Baptist Church in North Charleston, with Rev. Gary Ward and Rev. Doug Ray officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
