Lola Smith Obituary
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Aldine Butler and Eula Ellison Clardy. She was retired from the Kendall Co. and a member of White Plains Baptist Church, the Eastern Star, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ellen Holcombe and Doris Porter, both of Pelzer; son, Harold Smith of Pelzer; siblings, Homer Clardy and Hazel Elrod of Pelzer, Edith Clardy of Piedmont, Bertha Sanders of Anderson; nine grandchildren, 13 great- and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at While Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, Pelzer, by the Rev. Mark Spearman.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Family: home of Mary Ellen Holcombe, 241 Clardy Road, Pelzer.
Memorials may be made to White Plains Baptist Church, 1435 Easley Highway, Pelzer, SC 29669.
