Simpsonville
Louis Angalet, 79, of Simpsonville, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was born in Whitman, WV on October 30, 1937, the son of the late Lewis and Rosa Gede Angalet.
He was a veteran and served in the US Marine Corp. Louis retired from M&G Polymers in Apple Grove, WV as an Instrumentation Electrician. He was a Mason and a member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church. Louis was a wonderful and giving husband, father, papa, friend and "Mr. Fix It" to all.
Louis is survived by his wife Nikki of 55 years; two sons and their wives, Joe and Mandy Angalet of Simpsonville and Michael and Michelle Angalet of Woodstock, GA; 6 grandchildren: Abby, Andrew and Adam Angalet of Simpsonville, and Anna, Nicholas and Benjamin Angalet of Woodstock, GA; sister Margaret Rorrer; niece Betty Newsome; and nephew Terry Rorrer.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast Chapel, where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park.
The family would like to express their deep gratification to the nurses and staff on the 4th floor ICU at Greenville Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care and support, especially Jayk, Wanda, Chelsea and Kathy and Peggy from Palliative Care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greenville Memorial Hospital Palliative Care, 701 Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

Just learning of cousin Louis' passing today. I know we have not kept up with each other for many years but I am very sorry to learn of this. Our numbers are dwindling for sure. Happy to know he had several grandchildren. Hope Nikki, Joey, Michael, and all the rest are well. Hugs and prayers to all. Stephanie Angalet Stephenson (Jim and Virginia Angalet's daughter).
