Margaret Etheridge Turner, widow of Harold Cecil Turner, died Monday, December 5, 2016.
Born in Memphis, TN, she was the daughter of the late Louie Leslie Etheridge, Sr. and Myrtle Dickey Etheridge.
Mrs. Turner was a graduate of the University of Tennessee where she received a degree in Elementary Education. She earned her Master's degree in Education at Clemson University. She taught in the Greenville and Anderson County School Districts. Mrs. Turner was a member of the TAU Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Honorary Teacher's Association. She was a member of Tremont Church of God.
Surviving are a daughter, Anne T. McKitrick and son-in-law, Rick. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Irene Gavrock; and a brother, Louie Etheridge, Jr.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rockvale Baptist Church Building Fund, 652 Old Grove Road, Piedmont, SC 29673 or Tremont Church of God, 2854 New Easley Highway, Greenville, SC 29611.
