Patricia Anne Waters Dimmick, 83, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 in her home.
Patricia was born on September 23, 1933 in Amsterdam, NY, to Mary Mullarkey Waters and Harold George Waters.
She is survived by her brother, James (Helen) Waters of Palm Coast, FL; two daughters, Kathleen (Richard) Sanders of Richmond, VA and Marcy Dimmick of Clemson, SC; two sons, John (Xiao Kai) Dimmick III of Greenville, SC and Mark Dimmick of Prosperity, SC. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Maegan (Tara) Blume-Moore of Richmond, VA and Misha and Keegan Dimmick of Greenville and one great grandchild, Cooper Moore.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, John Herbert Dimmick, Jr.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, with burial to follow in Memory Gardens, Clemson.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or in person at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, which is assisting the family.

Mark, John, Kathy and Marcy, my heartfelt sympathy. Your Mom was a dear friend. We partied together, went to football games and sometimes just did a lot of talking. Mrs Dimmick,
When in the middle of Susan Koman run for the cure 5K breast-cancer charity event, we suddenly heard the news. We were deeply saddened that we have lost such a kind and loving family member. Looking back at our first meet in 2001, although we cannot communicate with you in English, your big smile and a warm hospitality really made us feel at home . You always treat others kindly and equally , always carry your grace and positive attitude even during the most difficult times. We were so impressed by your tenacity and optimism while fighting with cancer. It's comforting to know that you are now in heaven. May you live peacefully and happily in heaven and bless your family on earth. May you rest in peace!

We are saddened by the news. We will always treasure every single minute we spent together with "Grandma" Mrs. Dimmick. She was always so witty, cheerful, thoughtful, pretty, loving and kind. We love to hear the stories of Kathy, John, Marcy and Mark when they were young. We love to hear the stories about her husband Mr. Dimmick. She is a bookworm and she read a LOT of romance books! We hope she can continue this hobby in heaven. I'm sure she will find her special hairdresser and do her hair the exact way she did on this earth. She will be missed dearly by all of us! RIP and God bless!
