Peter Byron Flavin, 66, of 503 Rock Creek Road and husband of Carol Cummings Flavin, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011.

Born in Chicago, Illinois he was a son of the late Byron Francis and Genevieve Kryda Flavin. Peter was a graduate of Tennesse Tech and a retired draftsman and designer for Duke Energy. He was a former public school teacher and served in the military.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Emily Elizabeth Lamb and husband, David of Greer, SC; three sisters, Pamela Flavin Dillon of Elkridge, MD, Elizabeth Flavin Timmins of Grove City, OH and Dana Flavin of Germany; and two granddaughters, Anna and Zoe Lamb.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 3:45 PM, Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC.

Memorial services will be held at 4 PM, Tuesday in the chapel of the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org or Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or in person at the funeral home.
