Ray Timmerman Obituary

Rev. Ray Timmerman

Greenville

The Reverend Ray B. Timmerman, 91, widower of the late Ruth Smith Timmerman, died Friday, June 30, 2017.

Born in Edgefield, SC, he was son of the late George and Nannie Bell Corley Timmerman.

Rev. Timmerman attended Holmes Bible College and served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a retired Church of God minister and a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God.

He is survived by two children, Ray B. Timmerman, Jr., and fiancée Charae Hancox, and Steve Timmerman and wife Becky; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Timmerman; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Allen Timmerman.

In additional to his wife of 70 years, he was preceded in death by a son, Mike Timmerman; and a granddaughter, Courtney Timmerman.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Praise Cathedral Church of God. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence.
