Ruby Jacobs Obituary
Born in Greenville County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Ed and Ollie Cox Lyday. Mrs. Jacobs was a homemaker and a member of Choice Hills Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Harry Leon Jacobs of the home; two daughters, June Marie Jacobs Waldrop of Greer and son-in-law, James Raymond Waldrop Sr., of Easley and Cindy Ann Cole and husband, Crawford Jr., of Greer; two sisters, Audrey Wood of Greenville and Ruth V. Holmes of Travelers Rest; three grandchildren, Tabatha Marie Waldrop Brower and husband, Benjamin, of Greer, James Raymond Waldrop, Jr. of Greer and Crawford Benjamin Cole III and wife, Stephanie, of Travelers Rest; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Jacob Brower, MaKayla Marie Brower and MaKenzie Marie Brower; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sister, Jewell Lyday; and four brothers, Arthur, Omer, Elmer and Ralph Lyday.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday evening at The Howze Mortuary Chapel, with a private burial.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ruby M. Jacobs Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 369, Travelers Rest, SC 29690.
