Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of Ms. Taylor. She was my mentor when I began teaching in Greenville County almost 40 years ago. Because of the encouragement and guidance she provided me during my first year of teaching, I managed to have a successful career in the field of education. Through watching her connect with her students, in a firm but loving way, I was able to see first hand that you should never lose sight of your students as individuals first and then through that relationship you would be able to teach them. I am grateful that she was able to live such a long life. She will certainly be missed.
