Wilson Taylor Obituary

Wilson Rogers Taylor, 75, of 203 Young St., died Tuesday, May 8, 2001.

Born in Greer, a son of the late Gaines P. Myrtle Rogers Taylor. He was retired from Steel Heddle. He was a member of Parisview Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Irma Juanita "Nita" Corley Taylor; two daughters, Dee Dawson of Huntersville, N.C., and Joan Hudson of Greenwood; a son, Michael L. Ward, of Greenville; a brother, Furman Taylor, of Greer; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Taylor was a loving husband to Nita, and Grandpa and PaPa to Steve, Dana, John, Kelsey, Terezia, Steven, Travis, Josh, Kim and Jami. PaPa always had fun decorating the home for the grandchildren to make every holiday special. He enjoyed his family, his ball games and his flowers.

Memorials may be made to Parisview Baptist Church Building Fund, 3700 Buncombe Road, Greenville, SC 29617; or Faith Home, P.O. Box 39, Greenwood, SC 29646.

Visitation: 1:30 to 3:15 p.m. today at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Service: 3:30 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel. Burial: Graceland East Memorial Park.

The family is at the residence.
