Zella Greer Obituary
Greenville
Zella Graham Greer, 99, of Greenville, SC passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at the National Healthcare in Mauldin, SC.
Mrs. Greer was born in Ashe County to the late Walter Graham and Jenny Lawrence Graham and was beloved mother of Wilbur, James and Nancy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Plato Whittington Greer, her son, Wilbur Greer, two brothers and her sister. She was a homemaker and operated her own seamstress business where she made clothing and drapes. She was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church and was a member of the WMU.
Survivors include her son, James Greer of Greenville, SC; her daughter, Nancy Greer Radford of Greenville, SC; her brother, Lawrence Graham of Bel Air, MD; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Pendry's Chapel with Reverend Robert Livingston officiating. Burial will follow at Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family would like to give their gratitude to the staff of National Healthcare.
