I remember Ann Marie in HS. She wore a cheerleader outfit on certain game days, and was very popular. A very gracious person.

She truly was a courageous and wonderful woman. The PMHS ladies who were fortunate enough to be within driving distance of Greenwich and therefore able to to enjoy her mini-reunions every couple of years had such great times sharing our stories, our photos, and our memories of life in Pelham. She always gave us her best gift -- the gift of her friendship. Mary Campins DeLima

I am spending time thinking of how strong my aunt was. She was so smart and knew how she wanted to live. She had an extraordinary way of putting you at ease and being non-judgemental. That mixture of conviction and compassion is rare, and I just admire her so much. I am so sorry for everyone's loss. All my love, Brooke

My deepest condolences to Basil. Marco and Marcello. Know that your wife, mother and grandmother had a tremendous effect on all of the lives she touched especially at Holy Cross Academy in New York City. I compared everyone of my son's teachers to this extraordinary teacher and not one could ever measure up or come close. We traveled together to the the Holy Cross reunions several times and shared many lively conversations. I appreciated her advice and wit. Thank you for sharing Ann Marie with us. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Labbate.

I will always remember Mrs. Labbate with great fondness. I can honestly say she was one of my all-time favorite teachers. Not only was she a wonderful History teacher, but I also enjoyed having her for homeroom, and I really loved our little after school cooking club. I will never forget her beautiful smile and how she made her students feel so at ease. Thank you Mrs. Labbate, for helping me through those awkward teenage years. May God bless and keep you forever in His care. (HCA class of '72)

Thank you Mrs. Labbate! I am so deeply grateful for the life you lived, your teachings and your leadership. I don't know what brought you to Holy Cross Academy for Young Ladies but you have no idea how important and meaningful that would be to all of us that had the privilege to sit in your class. At a time when the role of women in this world was changing so quickly, and there were so few role models for the future, you helped create my vision of a future as an independent, thinking, empathetic human being not only through your teachings, but most importantly because in you we saw a woman of integrity, wit, professionalism and plain old smarts all wrapped us in this very hip package! I love you and hope we meet again. I could not have the life I live today without you.
To the Labbate Family, my deepest sympathies. I know it is a time of grief but I hope in time you can heal and feel the joy of her presence among you.

Ann Marie Labbate was one of our dearest friends. Over a friendship of 50+ years we shared many happy times, and we supported each other during the dark days too. Having a friend like Ann Marie is a blessing! Our deepest sympathy to Basil, Marco, and especially to Ann Marie's adored grandson, Marcello, who brought such great joy to her life. May the Labbate and DeNisco families find solace in knowing how loved Ann Marie is -- now and forever. May Marco and Marcello take comfort in the knowledge that they contributed so much to Ann Marie's happiness. She was so proud of them! We will miss you always-- until we meet again.
