Anna Othman Obituary

Anna Lou Othman, 34, a native of San Luis Obispo, passed from this life Sunday, May 17, 2014, following a two month medical battle. Her greatest joys came from life's simple pleasures and her deep connection with animals, music and nature. As a talented photographer, she captured earth's beauty through the lens and those images will live on as our keepsake. Her amazing green thumb and cooking skills were a shared passion with her family and friends, where many fond times were spent in the garden and kitchen. She was known for her famous focaccia, and no one grew better heirloom tomatoes. She loved mountain air, giant redwoods, the sound of the Tule River and time spent at the family cabin. Being very competitive, she loved sports, card games and played a mean game of darts. She had a generous heart, sarcastic sense of humor, the best giggle and a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants spirit. We love you and cherish the precious memories. "Our hearts are here." Anna is survived by her parents, Don and Gwen Othman; sister Kala Fink (Michael); niece Elaia; Aunt Sally Davis (Tom); cousins Heather, Daniel and Christian; her fiance; and many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anna's memory to Woods Humane Society.

Dear Anna,
Your willow tree, laughter and care free spirit are all things I was lucky enough to experience. I think of you often and can't believe you are gone.

My condolences to the Othman family. I was so shocked to see that Anna had passed. I was a friend of Millie's and helped out at The Roll Out the Barrells several years ago. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time.

Dearest Anna Lou,
I remember you when you were a little girl with those beautiful, blonde pigtails and a bright, shining smile. You filled us all with laughter and it is your laughter and great sense of humor that I will deeply miss. You were a wonderful, caring cousin to me and I appreciate that you were always there for me. I cherish our recent time spent together where I got a chance to tell you just how much I love you!! I am going to miss you dearly!
Love you,
Cousin Heaggie (Heather)
ps. I feel blessed to have a nickname made up by you when you were that little, blonde girl with pigtails. Xoxo
