Love ya kid,

I heard someone ask for a toasted almond ice cream bar the other day, and I remembered all those Rudy's games you were in the outfield yelling for me to stop the ice cream truck and get you one, my dad would call you some 'fat' name and you would just yell something smart back to him, and possibly get a moon in there! Hope your eating all the toasted almond bars you wish! Miss you!

Dear Dom,
I just got back from the cemetary, and I broke down in tears, because the last time i was there was when we were barrying you. And as I gazed at the white marble stone that said your name on it that was the point when I relized that i would never see you again. But when I got home I felt something on my cheek and and angel whispered in my ear "I am always here." as the angel said that i felt his fingers touch my heart. At that point I knew you had heard my prayers when I was at the cemetary....=] that made my world...just knowing you were there for me =]And will always be there for me, and I will see you again in person, when its my time

Thinking of you, Dominick with great love, and also a smile. You are so missed! It is incomprehensable that a year has passed since God welcomed you home...It seems so quick, but then again too long since we have been able to see you. Thankfully, I know that you are with all those who have gone before you...and thank God will never suffer or be in pain again. Debbie and I were talking last night about how many lives that you touched during your life, and continue to touch to this day. We know, that once it is our turn to enter into God's heaven, that we will all be together again, and will once again enjoy the love and presence of those who have gone before us.
With love, Dom.

I'm not sure what made me "google" Dom's name, but I'm glad I did. It was great being around Dom weather he was mooning someone, playing sports, playing cards on Friday nights, etc.

One of the best stories was when I was umpiring the old Garlin's team and it was Dom's 30th birthday. I let them sneak in a grapefruit painted to look like a softball. The pitcher threw it perfectly over the plate and Dom swung (with that famous "oofa!"). Grapefruit went flying and we couldn't stop laughing!

Here's looking at you kid!

"A Time for Everything"

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.

A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and time to uproot.

A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.

What does the worker gain from his toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on men. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it.

Ecclesiastes 3

Dear Debbie and Dominick's family:

I never met Dominick, but know you, Debbie. I know how much you loved your brother, and how his family loved him. I am sure knowing and feeling your love in the past months brought him comfort. I had him on my prayer list since I heard about him. Our sincere and hearfelt sorrow go out to you and his family. For those who miss a loved one, there is not much at this time to console, however, I really believe his suffering the last few mlonths truly gave him an express trip right to God's arms. He is in good hands, and while you all miss him, he can still watch over you and you can feel close to him in your heart; speak to him from your heart, and live your lives in such a way that will make you conscious of his presence, while unseen, very much felt. God loves you and will confort you all, if you let Him. God Bless you, Love, Jeni and Vinnie

Dear Donna, Debbie and Family,

We are so sorry for your loss of your beloved Dom.

Reggie and I loved Dom from the moment we met him. He was the life of life, and brought out the fun in the moment. When I see his face I see his smile, even when I knew he was in so much pain at Thanksgiving, never complaining, always bringing out the best in everyone around him. Debbie, here is a person from the past. I remeber playing football on upper Gerry with Dom, and all the fun we had when we were little. Truley greatfull, I had the opportunity to speak to him the past two weeks. I joked with him saying if the Mianus Bridge could'nt get you, don't let this. We both laughed. I moved away over 20 years ago but when I came back for visits I would run into Dom. I'll miss him.

Debbie, Dona & Kids,

Growing up I remember a little boy with a smile that could melt an iceberg. That stayed with Dom his lifetime and will forever bring the same to all that knew him. Dean was fortunate to get to speak to Dom last week which was a comfort. We are thinking of you all and wishing you the best. Anne & Dean

Dominick always had a nickname for us...and stuck to it for years and years, just like his loyalty to his family, and his friends. To know him was and is to love him. It is with unspeakable grief, that we now have to say so long to him...but I know, that he will continue to be over the shoulders and in the hearts of those he loved most...Debbie, Dona, and his beloved children. Thank you Dominick for all the sunshine and laughter, you are so very missed already. Love, Ann

Dear Dona, Debbie, Stevie, Kyle, Dominique, Robbie, and Alyssa

I wish I knew the words. I wish I knew the way to ease your hurt and pain. But I'm not sure exactly what to say or what to do .... I just want to let you know how much I cared for and loved Dom. I lost a great "buddy" & friend.
