I am sorry to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful person and a great teacher. I had her at Glenville school. I was just talking with another former teacher and she told me of her passing.

I am so sad to learn of Jan's passing. I had just had a long telephone conversation with her, sometime after Christmas, I wanted to explain to her why I didn't send a Christmas card...I was having shoulder replacement surgery and couldn't write or type very well.
That said, I have known Janet and the Beebe family since we were children, living next door to each other. Jan and I were in the same class in school and have remained in touch, with some gaps, over these many years. I have nothing but fond memories of our growing up. Walking to school, to church, riding with her to school and Youth Fellowship since her dad would let her drive, and I didn't have a car available. Choir, bell choir, church camp, (Sarge!) Skating in their back yard the winter it flooded, playing dolls, sleep-overs. The memories are cherished and endless.
To the Beebe and Kaminiski families, you have my heart-felt sympathy, Janet was a dear, lifelong friend. I am so very sorry we never managed to connect when I was in SC.

Janet "Miss Beebe" was my 2nd grade teacher at Glenville School. She was so young and sweet and beautiful. I couldn't wait to get to school each day to be in her presence. I absolutely adored her! I'm sure she played a part in my becoming a lifelong learner as I'm sure she did for the thousands of children whom she taught. My condolences to her family.

Dear Kaminski & Beebe Families,
Our condolences on the passing of your Mom, Sister, Aunt and beloved member of the Glenville and New Lebanon School communities.
I have many fond memories of Miss Beebe during my time at Glenville School in the mid to late '70's early 80's. She was welcoming, nurturing and firm when times called for it. A gifted educator who inspired learning for thousands of students. I reacquainted with Janet in the late 1990's early 2000's when she and Ron were enthusiastic volunteers for restoring the old Glenville Elementary School - Western Greenwich Civic Center. In 2007 Janet was thrilled to see the doors open to the building where she began her teaching journey. Janet made a difference in many children's lives. May she have eternal peace.

Dear Stacy, Kristen& Family,
I first got to know Janet through our husbands and Glenvlle VFD and then later worked with her when my children attended Glenville School. Besides living in Glenville, we had much in common and always enjoyed talking. As an educator, I can honestly say Janet was certainly one of the best. Her enthusiasm, professionalism, and love of helping little minds grow were some of the things that made her such an outstanding educator. As a mom, I can say that what made her standout even more was her personality, friendliness, collegiality, caring and kindness. She was the "whole, real package" of a genuinely wonderful person. I will always be grateful to be able to have known her. My sincere condolences to you all. May the good memories and love she had for others bring you peace.

I had the pleasure of working along side Janet my first 2 years of teaching at New Lebanon School. She immediately made me feel welcomed and took me under her wing as a beginner teacher. Janet devoted many extra hours helping me navigate through the 1st grade curriculum and the "ins and outs" of teaching. Although she retired after my 2nd year of teaching, we remained friends and we shared many important life moments together. Janet was patient, selfless, and had a heart of gold. As I complete my 21 st year of teaching, I am reminded how grateful I am for having known her and for fellow educators and friends we meet along the way, always willing to lend a helping hand and guide you through important life moments. Janet, you will always be in my heart, and your legacy will live on through all of the students you helped shape along your long and rewarding teaching career. Rest in peace, my friend.

Janet was a loving, caring educator, always willing to go the extra mile for her students. I was familiar with Janet from the Glenville School, where I served as a psychologist for many years. Bless her family.
