John Barchella Obituary
John E. Barchella, 76, a resident of Palm Coast FL. and formerly of Port Chester died February 22, 2014. He was 76 and was born November 30, 1937 in Greenwich, Ct. to the late John and Edith Scenna Barchella. He was raised and educated in Greenwich graduating from Greenwich High School. He served in the United States Army and was a sergeant. He was the owner and operator of J.B. Auto Sales in Port Chester, NY. Mr. Barchella was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his sons John Barchella (Meg) of Poughkeepsie, NY., Frank Barchella (Wendy) of Purchase, NY., and James Barchella of Palm Coast, Fl. daughters Joanne Barchella-Dutton of Greenwich, Ct. and Debbie Barchella of Dobbs Ferry, NY., 11 grandchildren. His loving companion Carol Nuro of Greenwich, Ct., brother Anthony Barchella (Carmella) of West Palm Beach, Fl., and sisters Lena Kotis (John) of Manning, SC., and Edith Orlando of Port Chester, NY., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Barchella was the widow of Donna Cavino Barchella who died January 2002 and was also predeceased by his sister Josephine Pirre. Visitation will be 4-9PM on Friday February 28, 2014 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be 10AM on Saturday March 1, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY

Dear Jimmy,
I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I remember your mom with love and affection. I remember double dating with your parents when Ed was alive, and sitting with your mom in your driveway on Candy Lane watching you and George bike ride Betsy Brown Road. I remember visiting with your dad in Florida and having lunch with him in Thornwood after I moved back to Westchester from Connecticut. Your dad was a good friend to me and I miss him.
