John Mucha Obituary

JOHN P. MUCHA 86 of Cos Cob, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Greenwich Hospital. A lifelong resident of Greenwich, John was born on June 26, 1925, to the late Karol and Anna Mucha. He served proudly with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. After the war, John worked for the Greenwich Tree Department, St. Mary's High School, and the Greenwich Board of Education. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, refinishing antique furniture, building birdhouses in his workshop, and watching the Yankees. John is survived by his beloved wife Sophie Mucha, his sons Michael Mucha, Gerard (Patricia) Mucha, Paul (Courtney) Mucha, and devoted daughter, Diane Mucha. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Allison Habel, Stephen Mucha, Katie Mucha, and Andrew Mucha. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Edwin, and daughter Mary Ann. All funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association. www.diabetes.org/donate
