Katherine Favor Obituary

KATHERINE ALBERT FAVOR died at Greenwich Woods Nursing Home on June 21. She was 100 years old and had lived in Greenwich for more than fifty years. She was born on August 18, 1909 in Columbus, Ohio where she met and married her husband, Anthony Favor. Katie was full of life and talent. She loved the many years she lived in Greenwich where she made many lifelong friends whom she considered family. She was a gifted seamstress, owned an antique shop, and also owned and ran her real estate business, Katie Favor & Associates, into her 90s. She was a longtime member of the Westchester Country Club and was very active in the Audubon Society. Katie Favor is survived by her sister, Aletha Albert Birkefeld of Florida; one niece; two nephews; six great and seven great-great-nieces and nephews. There will be a private service in Columbus, Ohio, where she will be interred beside her parents, Emma and Joseph Albert, and her husband, Anthony. Memorial contributions may be made in Katie's memory to the Audubon Society of Greenwich, 613 Riversville Rd., Greenwiwch, CT 06831, TEL.203-869.5272.
