Lillian Healy Obituary

Lillian Healy passed away at Cedar Crest Senior Living Community in Pompton Plains, NJ. She was 102 years of age.
Mrs. Healy was born in New York City on April 4th, 1920, and spent the majority of her years in Riverside, Connecticut. She graduated from Greenwich High School and eventually married her high school sweetheart, Tim Healy, following his return from service as part of the Fourth Marine Division in World War II.
She was extremely active in various clubs in which she enjoyed theatre, swimming, and bowling. Along with her husband Tim, she traveled to numerous destinations around the world. In addition, she was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and very rarely did she miss watching them play. She was also an active member of both St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Riverside and St. Clements Church in Stamford. Always known as the life of the party, she had great fun being with her family in addition to playing cards every Friday with her friends at Cedar Crest up until her final days.
She is survived by her four children, Patricia, Barbara, Susan, and Brian, in addition to her ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Friday, August 5th at the Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home located on 31 Arch Street in Greenwich, CT. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a short service. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich.

Dear Healy family,
You may remember the HUDOCK´s that lived on Marks road. My mother Lucy was your mother`s friend and hairdresser for many many years. My mother lives up in the north west corner of Connecticut and we just had lunch together and shared some fun stories about your mother. She was a lovely lady who always shined bright with her red lipstick! And there was never a room that she walked in where her big energy was not felt. We send our deepest condolences to your entire family and will always remember Lillian fondly.

I recall "Lil" very well from the days when Barbara and I were in high school, although I only referred to her as " Mrs. Healy" then. She was always full of life and fun and very supportive of her family. My condolences to Barbara, her siblings and the grandchildren.
