Mildred Martin Obituary

MILDRED MARTIN

Passed away on March 14, 2008 at the Greenwich Woods Health Care Center in Greenwich, CT.

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and dear friend to many.

She enjoyed laughter, music, singing and playing the piano with family and friends. A woman of faith, she set an example of devotion to the Holy Rosary.

A long time resident of Eastchester, NY and most recently Greenwich, Ct. Born October 17, 1909 in New York City, NY to the late Joseph and Madeline Zodda.

Mildred is survived by her devoted daughter, Elaine Madonna. And her loving grandchildren, Marc Gabelli, Matthew Gabelli, Elisa & her husband, Dr. Tom Wilson, Michael & his wife, Kristina Gabelli, as well as four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her dear brother, Dr. Robert Zodda of Irvington, NY, her sisters-in-law, Rita, Lucille, and May Zodda, as well as dear nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Mildred was predeceased by two of her brothers, Victor and John Zodda, and her two sisters, Nancy DeMeo and Margaret LaPolla. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph A. Martin.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name. Calling Hours will be held Sunday March 16, 2008(TODAY) from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 31 Arch Street Greenwich, CT.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10Am on Monday March 17, 2008. At St. Paul's RCC 84 Sherwood Ave Greenwich, CT. Arrangements have been made at Gallagher's Funeral Home in Greenwich, CT. Interment will follow at Putnam Mausoleum in Greenwich, CT.
