Nancy Porcheddu Obituary

Porcheddu, Nancy
Nancy Enright Porcheddu passed away on May 9th, 2013 at Greenwich Woods after a long illness. Nancy was born in Greenwich to the late Helen S. Enright and Louis Enright on August 1st 1938. She graduated from St. Mary's grammar school and attended Greenwich High School. Nancy was a long time employee of Greenwich Hospital starting at a very early age in the housekeeping department and as a nurse's aide, and she was so proud when she received her LPN certificate. She worked for many years in the Respitory Care Unit at the hospital. Nancy also worked in the home health care field. Nancy was married to the late Thomas Porcheddu in 1963. She is survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Victor and Susan Porcheddu and her beloved grandchildren Eric and Michelle all of Norwalk Ct. Nancy is also survived by her brothers, Carl of Greenwich, Joseph of Southbury and John of Charleston SC and her sisters Alta Morabito of Scarsdale NY and Sandra Harriott of Boca Raton Fla. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Besides her parents and her husband Tom she is predeceased by her brothers, Louis, Michael, Francis, William and Richard. Nancy was cremated and on Thursday May 16th family and friends will gather to remember Nancy at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave from 7 to 9 PM. There will be a Mass on Friday May 17th at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's RC Church, Greenwich Ave. followed by internment of her ashes at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Diabetes Assoc. of Connecticut 2080 Silas Deane Hwy. (2nd fl.) Rocky Hill Ct. 06067 in her memory will be appreciated.

I am sorry to hear of your moms passing she was a family friend for many years her and my mom were very tight. I remember you when you were small your mom and dad loved you big time.
