Condolences to the family. Thinking of him brings back great memories of my parents' social circles in the very early years of the Woodcrest neighborhood.

I always enjoyed Phil's stories and anecdotes when he substituted at Mann. He was a pleasure for the teachers and students both-We looked forward to being in his company. Who couldn't love the 'Jolly Rancher Man'?! A well-deserved rest in peace.

I stumbled upon this quite by accident today! I am so sorry to learn of Philip's passing. While I have not been in touch with Gloria and Phil for several years, we had shared some wonderful family celebrations. My memories of Philip are of stories and of a kind and gentle man. My deepest condolences to Gloria and the entire family. Warmly, Diane Spiro Kletz

Phil was a delight to work with when he substituted in the Cherry Hill Schools. He subbed for me so many times over the years. The students adored him and the candy he always brought to them. Talking with him was like talking to my father. He was a real treasure to all who had the opportunity to be with him. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. May you all find comfort in the fact that he reached out and touched the lives of so many children and teachers in the Cherry Hill community. May peace surround you all at this difficult time.

I knew Phil through my teaching in Cherry Hill. He always had a smile and we spent many days discussing his service during WWII. (And his love of Italy)
What a wonderful life & wonderful man. I was blessed to have known him.
