William Timchak Obituary

William "Bill" Timchak , 87 of Searsport Maine, died at Harbor Hill Nursing Home on October 15th.
He was born in Port Chester, NY to William and Elizabeth Timchak. Bill graduated from Greenwich High School in 1956 before joining the US Army, serving as a radar operator at a
Nike Missile Site in Detroit, MI. He later worked for the US Post Office and was a co-owner of Mill Bridge Liquor in Byram, CT. After closing that business in 1991, he owned a painting and
wallpapering business.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife Andrea and his eldest daughter Catherine. He is survived by son Michael, daughter Joyce, son Stephen and daughter Jeannine. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Tommy, Annie, Jessica, Wyatt, Brooke, Jake and Ethan, and a great grandchild, Jack.
A service at Sea View Cemetery in Rockport, Maine will be held on October 23, 2024 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in William Timchak's name to Owls Head Transportation Museum where he volunteered. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family members at www.ripostafh.com.

Dear Michael, Joyce, Stephen, Jeannine & family,
Our heartfelt condolences to all on the passing of your dear father.
We had the pleasure of being your next door neighbors for many years & we couldn´t have chosen a better family to reside in that house. We can remember when Bill & Andrea, along with a young Cathy, pulled into the driveway of their new home at 37 Grove, where many wonderful memories were to be experienced.
Bill was a quiet man who worked hard to keep his property in good order. He was quiet, respectful, friendly & quite talented, much like Andrea was inside the house with her decorating, sewing, etc.
Bill was highly regarded by many and we´re sure you´ll each carry poignant memories of your Dad within your heart.
You´re all in our thoughts as we honor Bill, who was a good man who lived a good life. Bless you all...
